02/03/1983-28/09/2010, refill sherry butt, cask 517, 608 bottles

Nose: Must be a pretty well used butt. The nose strikes of fresh vanilla, apricots and cream, licquorice and coal smoke. Hints of spice.
Palate: Very pleasant and not overwhelmingly peaty. Plenty of fruit and more coalsmoke. Chardonnay and melon. Water releases more fruit but it's not as good.
Finish: Spicy and drying. Water doesn't help.
Comment: Decent enough PE from a very well used cask.

It is better to have drunk it all than never to have drunk at all.
