The Whisky Exchange Rosebank 1991 16yo 55.2%, bottled from the cask in front of me!

Nose: Trademark Lemon then some more exotic fruits (pineapple?) and some cooked fruits.
A trace of ginger? Then it becomes quite floral. Very enticing

Palate: Lemon zest, and now some orange that I didn't find in the nose. Heather. Quite intense. Lovely velvety mouthfeel.

Finish: Long and warming with some oaky notes behind the citrus

Always love Rosebank.

Nose: Very lively and robust initially, with lots of honey, lemon and spices. Slight nose prickle. Marmalade. Butter, vanilla and mint, with very faint cereal notes in the background. Custard creams. Hints of polish?

Palate: Lemon, fudge and a little salted butter, with a subtle minty backdrop. Well honeyed too. Quite fizzy at full strength after a few seconds.

Finish: Quite fizzy. Slight yeasty notes and sweet citrus fruits. A little fudge, honey, liquorice and a minty freshness develop after a few seconds. Becomes a little grassy over time too, but it's the fruit and mint that stay around the longest.

The nose is superb, the palate doesn't disappoint and the finish is beautiful, complex and seems to last forever. 'Nuff said.
