For us (me, my better half and my brother), Christmas dinner consisted of roast turkey (gravy, too) and stuffing, wild rice, brocoli and butternut squash with homemade cranberry sauce on the side. I'm not normally much of a fan of turkey, but this one ended up being mighty tasty. There were all sorts of desserts on the table afterward to nudge our blood-sugar levels up a tad.
I'd have wished to open a rather more venerable bottle of wine, but my sinuses were still a little out of whack. So I settled for a younger and bolder, albeit absolutely excellent alternative...
