What's the weather like where you are?

We Brits love talking about the weather.

Blue sky this morning, but a north wind. Forecast a polar blast for the weekend.

This time last week I had my airconditioning on and this week I have my heater on. It's meant to be about two weeks shy of summer.

The forecast is for snow here this weekend. Its very cold outside and the wind chill factor is likely to make it feel a lot colder than it actually is. Clouds are very dark and heavy looking.

A dramatic red sky this morning was followed by some snow, then sleet, then rain by midday. Just now it's sunny but an Arctic chill is definitely in the air. I'm currently looking out towards a beautiful pink/purple sky over East Lothian.

Yes I do like to talk about the weather. Hopefully next year I will get my certificate in meteorology. One network showed intrest in my smiley face :D

Right now it is a clear sky thanks to the high pressure system but cold -7C now with a -5C high. Looking at the synoptic maps, it is going to be hard to predict if that other high in the midwest will be strong enough to give us good weather in the long term.

I awoke to a splattering of snow this morning, or more accurately, I awoke to the distant sound of someone clearing snow this morning

At least we were spared from the worst of this flurry as Northern Bavaria suffered much more with road closures and many accidents. But the main snow seems to have headed more South East and missed Erding / munich.

A high temperature of 0°C is forcast for today and I would prefer to stay in bed, but the pub calls.

Fortunately, I was fitted with Winter shoes yesterday, or again more accurately, my beloved Alfa had his Summer slicks swapped for more suitable Winter attire. Away go the nice alloy wheels into Winter hibernation and out come the less elegant steel wheels.

At least I am now enjoying a warming cup of Earl grey.

Today, I've had sunshine and gusty wind and hail. Right now it's just raining.

I've only lived in my current house for a couple of months and all over Australia weather is newsworthy at the moment. It really is just weird.

it snowed during the night. The wind chill factor makes it feel very cold out there.

We had a medium fall of snow last night in Perthshire and woke up in a wonderland. It's a foggy now though and I suspect the thaw to be swift and brutal!
And we may take a glass together, the whisky makes it all so clear
It fires our dulled imaginations
And I feel so near, so near

No more snow over the last few days, but it has been constantly very cold and the snow that fell earlier is now frozen in the gardens.

Absolutely gorgeous. Hard frost and clear sky over Strathearn. Counted 8 deer in the fields.
Wonderful to see them back on the farm.

Much the same here. Beautiful blue skies and pristine white ground. Lovely. Need to try and go for a walk.

Had to pop out to Sainsbury's this evening. My car was covered in thick frost and the dashboard said the outside temperature was -2.5C. At the supermarket, my car door handle had decided to freeze. It was an exercise to get the door open, and then it wouldn't shut. I'd swap that for some of Calliope's cold weather in an instant.
