Yesterday, there was a charity event at our local Asda. A soldier was walking on a treadmill with a full-size fridge on his back. Seemingly, he power walks half-marathons this way!
I was chatting away to him happily enough about his achievements when the nightmare question was uttered "Do you want a go?". Every part of me screamed "No", yet "Yes" came out of my mouth.
Within minutes, I was walking on the treadie - at a very slow 3.5kph - with a fridge on my back. Hard is not the word!!!!! It isn't so much the weight of the thing (which is bad enough), but the sheer bulk/size of it. There is no way you can walk bolt upright, or you'd just fall backwards. Instead, you have to adopt a crouch position.
Not for me, but a brilliant experience !!!!
