OB 1988 46% - Tullibardine

ncf From a 750ml bottle.

N: Simple. Barley. Notes of cheap white table wine.
T: As above. Sweet wine.
F: Medium length. Earthy barley but nothing complex.

Mmm, not much going on. A straight clean but simple whisky. Saved by the big barley as winey whisky i dislike as a rule.
I've spent a lot of money on whisky and women, the rest i squandered

Nose : Brylcreem and gloss paint, boiled pork and yeast, stewed apples, pear drops and love hearts
Taste : Stewed apples and pears, but harsh metallic and hot. Musty bung cloth with aggressive spices.
Finish : Dry, dusty and enveloped in a cloud of pepper and spice.
Comment : Not very refined, but drinkable enough.
