I had to go to the bank this morning. So Popped into waitrose in Harpenden. Came out with nothing. They only had a fiver off a Clynelish 14. Wasn't too excited by that.

Similar state of affairs at Newark branch. I did come away with a Glenlivet 15 (it's been a while) with £10 off. They've sold off all the 'reduced to clear' lines and not replaced them with other stuff, the whisky choice is less than half what it was a couple months ago.

I managed to get a bottle of Batch 37 Aberlour for £24.15, which is a great price. I really would have liked a reduced price Lagavulin DE, but it was full price. Having worked myself up to wanting a bottle, I got it anyway. :)

Just popped in to my local Waitrose (North London) and a bunch more reduced than I had noticed last week.

Caol Ila Cask Strength 61.6% reduced from £48.35 to £33.49!! Now that is a bargain. Chose that over the 12yo which had been reduced as well.

Found an Oban 14 year old reduced from £41.89 (which seemed a bit much) to a far more reasonable £21.31. Needless to say it is no longer there.

I'm pretty sure that Caol Ila Cask Strength is being discontinued, so that would make sense.

Which branch was that, if you don't mind me asking? You can PM if preferred.

Sainsburys had it at £31 a couple of weeks back. Not sure if they still do.

Not Waitrose, but just popped in to a North London Sainsburys and different whisky marked down than what was there last week. I picked up the last Bottle of Lagavulin 16 for £32.67.

At the weekend Waitrose had £10 off Glenlivet 15 and A'Bunadh. No A'Bunadh left in store, but there was a much expanded range, including Eagle Rare bourbon, Laphroaig Triple Wood, and the return of Ardbeg, amongst others.

Ardbeg 10 was £6 off yesterday. Didn't see how long the deal was on for but suspect this could be a Burns night offering. Certainly interesting to see so much of it on the shelves and on offer too.

A'Bunadh is £10 off at £27 plus change. Fill your socks for the festive season.
