IB Bladnoch Forum, 1972 36yo, 41.6% - Invergordon, cask 108254

Nose: Huge wave of vanilla and biscuit, marzipan, Lovely soft grain, almonds.
Palate: Vanilla and light brown sugar.
Finish: Long and biscuity. Shortbread dusted with icing sugar.
Comment: Another stunning cask of Invergordon from Raymond. I was still tasting this in the morning. I dont ever see myself drinking a lot of grain whisky, but injecting one of these into a tasting is just such an enjoyable experience.

Nose: Grainy acetone/paint nose at first. Then banana sweets, sugar almonds. Some vanilla and a hint of violets.

Mouth: Sweet and sugary. Molasses and treacle.

Finish: Quite spirity in that grain way and perfumey, but long and warming with fruit juices (pear) and vanilla ice cream.

Comments: Utterly superb bottling from Raymond once again and at a ridiculous price. Bargain!
