Once again not a direct bottle purchase, but the acquisition of a few more samples which are now sitting on my desk, quietly and gently begging me to try them, but I shall desist, at least until the coming weekend or early next week.

They are;

Glenury Royal 32y OMC
Braeval 12y OMC
MacDuff 27y 'Vom Faß'
Bowmore 11y 'Vom Faß'
Glen Flagler pure malt
Dallas Dhu 29y DT "Rare Auld"
Bruichladdich Links VIII Torry Pines

North of Sctland 1973-2005 single grain
North British 1992-2007 single grain

Elijah Craig 12y
Mackmyra 1st

The Irishman 10y single malt
Locke's 8y
Tyrconnel

I also have a half-sample left of 35y Glencraig which will be matched with chocolate.
Looking forward to the various H2Hs that I'll put together with these.

Their address is writ large on their website - so you are an airhead
Just a few hundred yards south of West Wynch on the A10 there's a petrol station on the west side of the road. Turn down Garage Lane by the side of the petrol station and they are at the end n the right.

I can vouch for the Lochside great stuff and a wonderful striking place before they demolished it - used to live but a few miles away.
Haven't opened the Mackenzie yet - would be interested in your views on both Peat.

Wiser's Small Batch, from an LCBO outlet across the street from Canada's Wonderland (amusement park). The shop had a display of Whyte & Mackay blended whisky in the beer cooler, and one of Rickard's White in the whisky aisle across the shop...I guess the idea is to make the shopper think "Oh, I should get some beer/whisky, too." But whisky in the cooler is just a bit weird.

I believe you are correct--I paid about C$24 for it. At least the LCBO doesn't grossly overcharge for Canadian whisky.

Old Pulteney 17yo, 46%

This is to replace the gap in my cupboard from the recently emptied Jura Superstition, I was going to get an Old Pulteney 12yo as it's around £20 in Asda. However I went in Oddbins today on my lunch and they were just putting out the offer labels and the 17yo was £39.99, took a chance without price checking else where, seems okay though?

From what I can remember I've never tried an Old Pulteney of any type, i'll open it this evening :)

Is this to celebrate getting the job or is it too early for that?
In my opinion...

Too early, i've been told the interview will be in 2 - 3 weeks, if I get it then my celebration whisky purchase will be around the £80 to £100 mark. If I don't get it then the Old Pulteney 17yo may well be my last new bottle until Christmas (I've got plenty to keep my going to be fair).
