Although many in the audience (especially the ladies) gushed about the 21yo Black Art (after hearing the wonderful stories told by Jim, and ten minutes after Jim said that for him whisky is best between the ages of 12-18). It may have been "group think" but everyone seemed to love all of them. ;)

The only one I might buy, if I find it 20% off, is the PC ATM. On second thought, I'll just drink the bottle of the Resurection dram '01 I bought the other day and wait for the Ten.

I was NOT a fan of the 19 yo version of Black Art a few years back...

VERY disappointing that they have not managed to get the Ten into our market, though I can see how May might be the off season for scotch. They are probably waiting for the next cold weather season to launch the Ten, hoping that it will sell as well as the Snow Phoenix over the Christmas gift-buying season as well.

Very disappointing also from the perspective of a SofT attendee. I hope at least to see a Bruichladdich table at the show...fingers crossed.

I'm sorry but I really don't see what all of the fuss is about Bruichladdich. I have yet to have a whisky of theirs that makes me sit up and take notice ( for the purposes of this post I am omitting the Octome as it's a totally different animal and not one of their main expressions). All of their offerings that I have had are, good, nice, pleasant, and tast fine, but nothing makes me go "wow this is really something". I like the Peat, like the An Turas Mor more, but these are not whisky's I would buy again. I've tasted many of Bruichladdich's mainstream offerings and just don't get excited about any of them. Nothing bad just uninvolving. Guess it's just me. I really gave up on them after they became the "whisky of the week" vendor. Anyone else out there feel this way?

Favourite Whiskies: Ardbeg, Laphroaig, just about anything from Islay, Springbank, all heavily peated whiskies, followed by all the rest, except wine finishes with some exceptions. New found interest in American Whisky.

Don't give up on PC from the ATM standpoint. It's pretty weak and non-indicative of the actual line itself, sort of like training wheels before working up to the real thing. I've had both the PC7 and PC8, both were excellent. What Octomore I've tried so far (just the 3.152, though I've got a bottle of 4.1) was also excellent.

From their regular line, I haven't found anything that impressive, but haven't had that many of them. There are a few that I'd be intrigued to try, though I'd never buy a bottle (like the X4+3).

Agree.
That's why I wanted to try the only expression distilled exclusively by the current owners and the legendary Mr McEwan - the new Ten. Unfortunately, the powers that be have decided that the good people of Ontario must wait until the 18 different expressions currently listed sell out before the new one is stocked.

Perhaps the first batch of 10yo is sold out and the second batch isn't ready for delivery now? I'm just speculating here...

I wasn't too thrilled with the 2001 Resurrection. A touch too bitter, and also lacked depth for the price. I put mine in my 1 litre sherry-treated cask.
