From information given on the bottle label, this was probably bottled in November 2005
Nose: Something akin to pencil shavings at first. Fresh and quite floral, with notes of spices, liquorice, hay and grass. Also quite buttery and honeyed. A little melon and mint. Slightly spirity if nosed deeply.
Palate: Honey. Buttery and quite citrussy (lemon). Aniseed and liquorice. A touch of fudge and cocoa.
Finish: Honey, butter, a little oak and hints of milk chocolate. Something bitter as well, but that doesn't last long. Hints of liquorice.
This is really good stuff and actually reminds me of a more robust version of the Lowland style!
