Nose: Dried fruit and vanilla on a bed of light oak. Well blended - the flavours complement each other.
Taste: Soft oak and fruit forms the bed. The spice starts up mid-way through and carries through to the end.
Finish: Spiciness echoes for a while (30 seconds or so) fading gracefully away. There is a bit of oak there, but it isn't the dominant feature here, it just supports the rye.
Impressions: Very well blended. Extremely high-class stuff for me. The rye is given the lead, and everything else is supporting cast. Soft and fruity/oaky at the beginning turning to spicy/fruity at the end. Wonderful evolution in the mouth.
