IB Cadenhead’s 10yo 46% - Lammerlaw

Tasted: 02/04/2009
Nose: Huge fruit: sharp pears, stewed apples, nail varnish remover, linseed, lemonade?
Palate: Acetone by the bucket, floral, malty.
Finish: scintillating, long, refreshing and lemony
Comment: As long as you are not put off by the solvent nose and palate there is a lot to admire about this dram. It is complex and interesting and delicious. I believe that although the age statement on the bottle says 10yo, that was the number of years the casks spent in New Zealand. Since then they have had around another 10 years in Scotland.
