My keen girlfriend got me the Westvleteren gift pack when it was VERY briefly available. Other than that small window, this is only available from the abbey or on the grey market (for big dollars, as it's been rated the best beer in the world by a couple different beer site/groups)

The only bottles that are sticking around are the Fuller Vintage ales (my last name is Fuller, so I collected these a few years back for the heck of it) and four of my six Westvleterens.

St-Ambroise Pale is a nice beer. And, as philosophically opposed as I am to putting fruit in beer, the St-Ambroise Abricot is a marvelous thing on a warm summer evening.

Bought the following for over the Christmas period:

Nøgne Ø Imperial Stout
Nøgne Ø Porter
Nøgne Ø Underlig Jul
Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout
Samuel Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout
Samuel Smith's Stingo
Samuel Smith's Taddy Porter
St Peter's Cream Stout
St Peter's Old Style Porter
St Peter's Winter Ale
Wagtail Jumping Jericho
Wood's Christmas Cracker

One of each. All have gone; all were very good, but the Nøgne Ø Porter stood out from the rest - it really is a belting beer and definitely worth a try for fans of rich, dark ales.

I welcome all kinds of fruits in beers if it's with a clear vision in mind... lambics are amazing!

Hey, I see there's another BC local in here! Solid choices. Howe's Megadestroyer is delicious. I have some Singularity in the cellar but haven't tried it yet.

My most recent purchases (there have been a lot in the last month, though):

- 3 x Driftwood Belle Royale sour
- 9 x Parallel 49 'From East Van With Love' maple imperial stout (bourbon barrel aged)
- 2 x Mort Subite Oude Gueuze

The Howe Sound Pot Hole Filler has made it to Ontario. What are your notes/impressions of this one? The only other Howe Sound that I have had is the Pumpkin Ale several months ago (one of my favourites, from about 8 or 9 pumpkin ales that I had this past fall in October/November).
