Good shops in Las Vegas?

Postby ca_aok » 10 Apr 2012, 14:00

The title's pretty self-explanatory, I'm going to a bachelor party in Vegas in two weeks and was going to pick up a bottle while I was down there. What are some good options for stores, preferably not too far from the main strip (as I doubt we'll have cars). I'm staying at the MGM if that matters.

I've been there a few times. Didn't find anything that interesting. Depends what you are looking for really. There's a liquor store chain called Lee's that might have something worth looking at, they selection varies from whatever shop you enter

Nothing too crazy, probably just some OBs that are unavailable or super expensive in Canada.

Close to the strip you'll be paying quite the premium. There is a smaller Lees on the Southside of the strip by the Southpoint Hotel/Casino. The Orleans had a fantastic liquor store not long ago, but I'd suggest calling before hand ot make sure it's still there. If you're willing to do a bit of a drive, I'd suggest Khoury's (particularly if it's a Wednesday or THursday night) for the customer service, granted they have a limited stock as a small mom and pop mostly wine store. Total Wine has some amazing prices nearby, but damned if you'll find anyone that knows much of anything there from my last 3 trips there...

If you can I'd try and get out to Total Wine; there's one in Summerlin and also Henderson I think. Much better than Lee's in my opinion, and I'm pretty sure they've a catalogue online.
