Ardbeg Lord of the Isles Box

Postby bboivin » 29 Nov 2011, 01:22

Hi all,

I had a little mishap with the nice box that comes with it, so PM me if anyone has a spare box they wish to trade/sell.

Thanks.

If there is no luck there's always this, it may go cheap. :D

I had a spare before I moved, that I was keeping sample bottles in.
I'll see if I still have it after the move...

Doesn't matter, mongo. The value is in the collectible container, and the incidental contents are not meant for consumption. (Yes, he does say he wants the buyer to enjoy it, but there are many ways to enjoy.)

Jeh, I was wondering this myself as well later on. This is easier to exploit for fakers, than having it filled (with a cheapo whisky) AND sealed. And it's strange, who opens such a bottle and than looks to offload it when it's still half-full??? I mean, if you're not into whisky you're simply not opening a bottle of a few hundred pounds...
But it's a seller with a good reputation so you should hope for the best eh

He does describe it as 'half full' and not as 'half empty' so he's an optimistic type at least. :?

But it probably won't bring in half the money you can make from a 'real' fake.

Exactly. It's probably the former property of someone now deceased or that quit drinking or something along those lines, and their family may be looking to unload it.

OK I checked and I have that box.
Need details of where to send it.

Now, who else have I promised things and not got around to it? Remind me please.
