Glass Elephant Whisky?

Postby Card Player » 19 Feb 2012, 04:58

I need help identifying a whisky. It tastes like a scotch blend. Was in a glass elephant, clear transparent unmarked, with synthetic cork in the trunk upright as the spout. Any ideas?

Boy, that rings a bell...I seem to recall Lawrence posting a photo of that somewhere or other. Darned if I can find it, though. If only we had a packaging subforum....

There was a whiskey (I'm assuming it was Canadian liquid) floating around the LCBO at Christmastime called Skate, which was...strangely enough...contained within a hockey skate shaped bottle. My hurried google search did not find a picture to post.
The wishlist is always growing...

I wasn't expecting something quite so sporty.

...or cheesey, but that's the one! Not sure if the whisk(e)y is any good, or if it was all about the packaging (gotta love the puck that the skate blade sits in, as a bit of a display stand... ).

There seems to be quite a few of this style of 'bottlings' in the touristy shops here...catering for all tastes...rugby balls, footballs, stills etc
