I am new here but have been a member of the Whiskybase forum for some time.
This year, July 19, I am organising a holiday to Japan departing from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
I am doing this on non-profit basis.
We will be flying to Sapporo, visit Yoichi then go to Sendai by train to visit Miyagikyo, followed by a train trip to Tokyo visiting Mars Shinshu, Hakushu, Fuji Gotemba, Chichibu (July 24th, confirmed with the owner).
Then going onwards to Osaka, visiting Suntory Chita (grain) along the way and Yamazaki from Osaka.
Hopefully ending with a visit to White Oak (Akashi) which is the only un-confirmed distillery at the moment.
This way, we're visiting all active distilleries in Japan in slightly under two weeks.
We fly back to Amsterdam from Osaka on August 3 or, if you want, August 11.
Just in case this is seen as advertising and you'd not like me to do this, I won't post the web link to the holiday yet.
We're trying to keep the 2 week option, which includes a flight from amsterdam to sapporo, accommodation in Sapporo, Sendai, Tokyo and Osaka a two week Japan Rail Pass for free hi-speed trains and a flight from Osaka to Amsterdam to just under 2000 euro a person (with 2 people sharing a room).
Hotels will have: Airco, Internet, bed(duh), your own shower or small bath and a toilet. They will not be 5 star affairs.
Taxi's from train stations to distilleries are not included in this rate. Food is also not included
If you are interested in this holiday, PM me for the URL or the mods will allow me to, I will post the URL in this topic.
Thanks for your time.
