Nice SMWS 10cl pack

Postby Exciseman » 30 Nov 2011, 17:46

I see that the SMWS have done a nice gift pack, containing:-

Springbank 10yo x 10cl
Laphroaig 20yo x 10cl
Ardbeg 13yo x 10cl
Port Charlotte 9yo x 10cl.

Tempting, although the £47.50 asking price is perhaps a tenner 'over the top'.

That's what I thought: could do with being £10-£15 cheaper.

Shame about the Springbank , might have been worth it if it had been a Caol Ila instead.....
Mind you it could have been worse , could have put an Arran in instead

Am I missing something? I've quite enjoyed a number of Society Arrans?!

Not missing anything. It's just one of Gordon's prejudices :)

Opinion Nick , opinion , not Prejudices after all what's good for our European partners to have is good for us ;)

Apparently the Arran in with the last SMWS sherry parcel wasn't the best (to put it mildly....)
And btw i've tried lots of SMWS Arrans , attended Arran tastings and haven't found anything that's impressed me but that's my opinion......

No offence Gordon (but you know that of course) - just a turn of phrase.
