Matisse 15 yo

It is identified as Single Highland Malt. Anyone have any information on this one? There others are blends so far as I have been able to find.

Yeah, I found the website but that doesn't give much away. I was hoping someone might know what the distillery is. I found a tasting note somewhere that mentioned light peatiness...

I think Inverhouse as source for a no name bottling is not entirely impossible. I recall having seen a Germany supermarket malt that specifically stated them on the label.

Hi there,

it would have to be an AnCnoc then. The 21yo ist a Speyside. Given that Inverhouse would have used a whisky of their own and not some casks intended for their Hankey Banister blend from another distillery it would have to be an AnCnoc.

When they bought Balmenach the warehouses were empty it is said.

Makes sense as the person who put me on to it used to work for Inverhouse on anCnoc.

Told today ,from the horses mouth, that Matisse is being pulled from the UK. Bit of a shame that.

Couldn't it be Speyburn?

Hi there,

yes certainly it could be Speyburn.

Question is would they sell stock of 15yo to a second party to bottle it

when they themselves only offer two expressions and below 15 years of age ?

Bradan Orach NAS and Speyburn 10yo.

There was a 25yo for some time which no longer appears on the distillery page.

But it could be.
