N: lemon, orange, pine, pencil shavings, redcurrant, slight smoke

T: cool, sweet, slight chocolate, mint, perfume, lemon

F: chocolate, lemon, vanilla, aniseed, floral, raspberry, very slightly smoky

I didn't have high hopes for Ladyburn. The distillery closed for a reason, and it has a poor reputation. Despite that, this was an elegant whisky with an interesting combination of flavours.

Nick, I really do agree about this distillery. The reviews seem to be terrible for the distillery but I found the 1973 OB to be a very good dram. Will fill in notes under Ladyburn when my bottle of 1973 is opened.
