Vintage 1984. 51.0% ABV 611 Bottles
Nose: Apples and pears; hint of dough.
Palate (with water): Licorice, black clove, bread pudding, hint of cinnamon.
Finish: Short with lingering cinnamon and anise.
Notes: A value-priced bottling, no evidence of sulphur; decent dram perhaps fit for the autumn. I enjoy Benrinnes but need some more samples with hopes it will grow on me.
