A private bottling of Bowmore: 13/03/01-26/06/09, cask #20079, 251 bottles
Nose: Glowing peat embers with a blast of iodine, lemon juice, seashells and smoked sausage. Water makes the lemon more juicy.
Palate: Hugely ashy with underlying Lemsip and salt and a sherbetty sparkle.
Finish: Lingering lemon chewitts, hot and peppery with more ash. Shorter when watered.
Comment: Lovely whisky, but a bit fragile with water. Drink at full strength.
