Nose - melon, honey, seaweed, hint of orange, tar, wet leather, bitumen, the list just goes on

Palate - Salty brine, burnt orange, sweet

Finish - Quite Long, very soothing.

I have not had a Bowmore this old before, (distilling date that is) it is excellent. I would buy it for the nose alone. I cannot remember any other whisky that had so much going on when nosing it.
All in all the taste was great too and i found the finish to be really smooth.
I thought this would be more peaty than it actually was which is probably why i liked it so much.
To sum it up in in one word, WOW. :-o
Look i only drink whisky now and again, honestly just the odd one for me.
