Nose: Heavy Ardbeg style peating. Sweet, with grassy cereal notes, a little biscuity. Some BBQ/smoky sauce style notes. Lemony undercurrent. Some heather flowers.
With water: Lots of sweet notes. Bright and clear, peat is rampant and sweetly smoky. I'm reminded of foam banana sweets, or bananas and custard.
Taste: Heavy alcohol, hugely peaty.Very swampy and oily.Lots of wood smoke fire notes. A good dose of citrus to keep it honest.
With water: Somehow seems hotter, a neat trick! Peat breaks cover first, dry and woody, then sweet on a crest of malt.
Finish: Some darker notes emerge (coffee and dark chocolate) but they seem restrained. A slight bitterness, then it thins quickly. Sweet malt/peat combo remains.
With water: Thickens with chocolate and coffee again. Firmer body, less oils, not so thin. Shortish length.
Balance: Huge alcohol and peat. Sweet overall, but some chocolate, coffee, and citrus. Ok malt, and as Willie said, quite drikable, but won't set the world alight.
