I was looking at the adverts for that on the subway tonight. Looks really good, might be worth a trip to the cinema! Even better if its on at GFT :D

Was privileged to be invited to a preview a couple of weeks ago - really enjoyed it (in its full sweary glory). Of course there's one or two "erm..." moments, but it's a great premise and well-told, with soem very memorable scenes.

Also some great performances in the film, particularly John Henshaw out of Early Doors and the young male lead. Not forgetting St. Charlie, of course, who was not required to stretch himself particularly hard dramatically, given that he plays a rather posh master of the quaich with a taste for flamboyant Highland trousers.

You’re just an old cynic.

Anyway, I see it’s going to be released on Friday which just happens to be Mrs B birthday, so that’s her present sorted.

There'll be just enough left over from your budget to buy her a pair of marigolds.

You're very lucky to have a wife who likes whisky!! :)

The London Evening Standard says "It is genuinely funny", so that sounds good! Hope you both enjoy it!

How can it be funny without Adam Sandler or Will Ferrell acting like a moron in it? I hope there's a lot of farting, at least.

That’s a bit extravagant, I was going to buy a packet of Tesco’s own Liquorice Allsorts and wrap them in some fancy paper, :iwbrnt: after all it is her birthday.

True, but it does mean you have to share, even the good stuff.

There's a bit of farting, yes...

I was lucky enough to be invited the the UK Premiere in Glasgow last night. Very funny film, if a little close to home (in both whisky and Glaswegian senses - yes, the other half do talk like that). Good to see many familiar faces from the industry. I had a wee chuckle, however, on seeing Deanston Distillery posing as the inside of Glengoyne ;)

Three distilleries in total are featured, the two perviously mentioned and Balblair which features the most. And yes, great to see Charlie doing what Charlie does best.
