N Quite thick, initially cereal tinged malt and bitter fruit.becomes sweeter on pink kayli(American cream soda I think it was called) eventually vaguely fruity sugared barley

T Softish, medium body, lightly spiced, a bit furry.Powdery barley with faint licorice and fruit, that's about it.

F Quite sweet, pleasant barley sweetness and spice, sugary barley(lucazade),a sense of licorice. then salltier(oak),a powdery woodiness. Not especially bitter but mouthdrying with a salty aftertaste.

B Reasonable nose but otherwise sweet and simplistic based on a fat body and powdery barley. The early finish is nice until it descends into salty woodiness. Seems to share a pink confection like barley quality that i also found in glen Albyn. This was a cut price miniature. it gives you an idea what Glen Mhor can taste like but it's not a great example.

N: I agree cereal but didn't get the bitterness. A little coffee maybe. Some dry grass and floral notes.

T: Soft, yes, and quite sweet. I also get the licquorice that scotchio mentions - something I love in whisky. A little fizz about it too.
Actually not bad, though I was spoiled by the 1969 ( )

F: A little waxy (like Clynelish :? ) but still sweet. Now I get that trace of bitterness that scotchio mentions. Surely this can't be caramelised? It doesn't look it, but then, it may have started very pale (unlikely at 25yo).
I'd agree with "drying" which is odd after the sweetness of the palate and the first part of the finish.

An enigmatic malt. Maybe I'm prejudiced by the 1969, but I found it pretty good. Possibly a full bottle has survived better than a mini?
