IB Cadenhead's 9yo 1999-November 2008 59.5% - Glen Scotia, Red wine hogshead, 213 bottles
Colour A quite beautiful mahogany colour
Nose Wow! Rich peat and chocolate. Red berries. Malty. I could sniff this for ages.
Palate Huge wine influence and despite all the reservations I have had about wine casks, this really works for me. It is juicy and refreshing, sparkly and totally in tune with the peat.
Finish Long spicy finish. Bit strange but I think I like it.
Really interesting dram. I think I like it.
