I'm up for it. Please have it on my day off, and start at 3:00pm UK time, so I'll have an excuse for drinking whisky at 10:00am. Lawrence can start at 7:00.

Certainly not before the forum's fixed for me, my eyes just aren't wide enough for this format :(

I'm always up for an online tasting :)

Will need to buy something first, mind you. Unless you specifically want my notes on the water around the Lincolnshire area, or the differences between batches of Tesco cloudy lemonade, in which case I'm good to go.

For a minute there I was wondering why Keith was in the East, but then I realised you were referring to the town. :?

I still have 8 days of antibiotics to take so I can't start before that, but feel free to go ahead.

For clarity the distilleries in that list are:

Glen Keith
Glentauchers
Strathisla
Strathmill
Aultmore
Auchroisk
Inchgower

It sounds fine to me

Whiskybroker have a very fine Strathmill available at under £40 currently if anyone is lacking product from this geography!

I have a Glen Keith sample I think
No Strathisla at the moment
I have an Auchroisk but it's an unusual one - not sure I'll open it
I have no Glentauchers

Seems I need to get busy stocking up!

gote - just a case of joining in on the day, sampling whatever you have from the chosen distillery or distilleries and posting your impressions.
Sometimes we share samples which means we can get multiple opinions of the same whisky.

Nothing's fixed. What do you suggest?
I still think it would be good to go with one of the "areas" Willie defined - more chance of people having something if there's more than one distillery.

I only have one of these - i could get one other I guess.... but I echo Peat's view. Otherwise I'll join in the next one if my stocks make a better match against the tasting list. :)
I must remember to forget....

Of course there is a secondary purpose - to bring people out of their normal routine and get them to try something new to them.

Peat, look back at my post in this thread
