And Aberdeen holding on in 5th place. We're 3 points behind Hearts just now. Plenty of time to catch them and secure some European football for next season

Sounds like you want to play every team at the minute Les! How Harry's made such a difference in the short time he's been there I'll never know, but from the bit I saw of Spurs in that game they just oozed confidence, whereas before Harry took over they had none whatsoever.

Mark you've got to rename this thread to something like " How did your Team do". Or sporting highlights.

Alternatively we could have an any other sport thread.

Anyway India stuffed England in the cricket in the first one dayer. We lost by 158 runs.

Paul, for the first time in more years than I care to remember I went along to Murrayfield last weekend to watch the Scotland - All Blacks great game. What a great experience! The guys at Murrayfield really know how to crank up the atmosphere. The All Blacks were awesome to watch. Huge looking guys, but with a massive turn of speed. Although I didn't fully understand what was going on half the time it was a great day out.

Reckon the goalie had a pretty off day though!!

Not a good day for England Rugby League always behind against The All Blacks in the Semi Final.

Talking of Semis. Andy Muray ran out of steam. Some good wins on the way though.

Latics won 1-0 at Northampton, the only blemish being Lee Hughes' stoppage-time dismissal. And thanks to Leeds losing (sorry Keith...) we're back within a point of the playoffs.

It had to happen the Harry magic starting winning streak couldn't last forever. Still it wasn't helped by Gomez the Spurs goalie spooning the ball into his own net to get them started.

Fulham 2 Spurs 1. :(

We've just been mullered again in the cricket. India 292. We were all out, India won by 54 runs. It was going well when Pietersen and Freddie were at the crease. Then the collapse. :(

Yea I know not every part of these Isles really get cricket. It's the draw of leather on willow. It's amazing the length of time that can be taken to get the game into a position for a finale. Good stuff though. :)

Truly this is a massive week for football.

On Wednesday evening Scotland welcome the mighty Argentina to Glasgow. This will be Diego Maradona's first game in charge of his national side. Further to his outstanding performance against England in the Mexico 86 world cup, he is sure to receive a raptorous welcome!

This will be the 4th time Scotland have ever played Argentina at the beautiful game. So far our track record is lost 1, drawn 1 and won 1.

The first encounter was back in 1977 when Scotland travelled to Argentina and battled out a draw in their own backyard.

The next game was back in 1979 when an 18 year Diego Maradona took to the pitch in Glasgow and scored his first ever goal for his country. I didn't make that game, but have since seen it on video. He was so good that night even the Scottish fans were singing his name. Scotland were again captained by Kenny Dalglish that night, but went down 1 - 3

In 1990 Argentina returned to Glasgow as winners of Italia 90. Their squad was littered with stars including the likes of Claudio Caniggia and I remember well taking my place in Hampden that night. Remarkably there was only one goal in the game, scored by Aberdeen defender Stewart McKimmie sending Scotland into raptures. This outcome was Scotland's first ever victory over reigning world champions since we pumped the English at Wembley in 1967.

Unfortunately I'll miss the game this week because of work, but I really hope we can beat them again!
