Theres a spider in my keyboard

Postby Yello to Mello » 20 Nov 2008, 03:45

What do I do?

I was browing the WWW forums and I lifted up one of those cardboard coasters and playing with it and I flung the spider (without noticing it there) and seen it crawling on the keyboard so I tried to kill it with the edge of the coaster and run it over. I think I got him but I dont see the body....kind of sunk in between the H and the J. He might be under there hiding in the dark...just like he was hiding underneath that coaster. It was one of those white spiders.

So far I only tried shaking it to see any signs of the body. He might jump out anytime.

To bring it into the realms of the forum you can of course give it a sweeter passing by pouring some CS betweeen UHJN (it will likely kill the bugger kybrd also)

I said vacuum.

Occasionally I suffer from a proliferation of fluff and crumbs in my keyboard so I tend to fold a piece of kitchen paper and run it between the keys. This tends to get most out.

Edit: I just had a thought about your spider as it could bring a whole new meaning to "The Web"!

If you feed it, it will quickly become too fat to get back out of the keyboard. Then you can keep it as a pet.

Personally I'd send in a search party for it. Get a hungry bird to fly in your room and point it towards the keyboard.

Trouble is though that you'd then need to get a cat to catch the bird, and then a dog to catch the cat etc... is your room big enough for a horse?

Probably not, but I didn't want to have to type the whole cast list of animals out.

Any update with the spider yet?

I think, unless you give the dog a really big head start, they probably do.

I know one guy that did something like that. Had a basement apartment and he could catch the flies with his hands and would throw it into a spider web in the corner of the room. After a while he noticed the spider getting bigger and he would clean away the empty fly shells.

I decided to pry off the spacebar to find any sign of it and shake it down with the keyboard vertical...no sign but it was starting to get dirty underneath so I did a quick vacuum. Spidey is MIA.
