Is that the thing with Robert Hicks? I got a message from Arthur about that right before I got the boot...

Told him I couldn't go anyway, but wondered why he asked me.

I have been looking around for a suitable way to celebrate a new forum.

What better than with a new make?

After my Augustiner, I have now poured a drop of Bladnoch new make.
Wonderful!

I only have a tiny bit of that left now, sadly. Lovely grassy/lemony stuff.

After a couple of hours of updating my tasting notes, I now need a rest and a tea!

Earl Grey of course.

10:10am here, so coffee for me. Kenco instant I think, so it just about passes for coffee but it does the job.

Couldn't resist opening a brand-new purchase: Aultmore 16yo 1990/2007 (58.8%, Single Malts of Scotland, sherry cask #2536). It's not exactly a bad one...

After one of the craziest weeks in a while I'm not messing about - straight into the Bruichladdich 1989 Full Strength.

Yum!

I'm on Nikka Single Coffey Still 12yo. It's the dregs of a bottle I got at one of the Jolly Toper tastings in Edinburgh - and it's gorgeous. Is it worth JM's 97 points? Actually, it might be...

Nice glass of Primitivo for me, with dinner.
Then Friday night at the pub and a dram when I get back...
