Went to the new Waitrose in Glasgow today, they have their own car park accessed at the right hand side of the building if anyones going.

No Laga, A'bunadh, Laph QC or Redbreast 12, however i bought a 50cl of Janneau 8yo Armagnac which is doulble distilled pot still so that should be interesting.

Went to the Waitrose in Milton Keynes today. It doesn't carry the full Waitrose malts range, but there was plenty of Lagavulin 16 year old and loads of Aberlour a'Bunadh.

I was after Batch 26 of a'Bunadh, as JM scored it very, very highly. After going through box after box of Batch 28, I eventually found one solitary bottle of Batch 26. Into the trolley it went. Hope that it lives up to JM's billing.

Heavy hints being dropped with daughter that dad would quite like Aberlour 16yo for Christmas.

Vistied the Waitrose in Glasgow again today, no A'bunadh or Redbreast i asked about them and was told they don't stock their full range at this branch.

Not a wasted trip, picked up HP12 £22.00 & Caol Ila 12 £24.00, the Laga 16 & Caol Ila CS were back to list price, there were others on special offer but i dident take note.

Some deals, like AA and Laga have ended, but others, like Aberlour 16 for £24 (a steal!), continue to the new year.

[As I keep harping on about......]You can buy from Waitrose direct if you phone them (number from above link), you don't need to buy a full case and delivery is free.

Cheers Leither. I may have to go back to the whisky lake that is Waitrose. My dad got me an Aberlour 16 last saturday. As you say for £24 it's a bargain.

Being as organised as usual I went in to Waitrose yesterday and found that I had missed the A'bunadh and Nadurra deals, but there is still plenty of good stuff like Caol Ila DE for £27 instead of £40, the Aberlour 16 that Paul mentions above and Springbank 10yo for £23 or £24 I cant remember. Loads of others too. As far as I can see the rest fo the deals run until 5th Jan. 2010.
