Hi all
Whisky beginner here, and newcomer to this site. Glad to be here!
My untutored reaction to Talisker 10 yo
Glass:
Glencairn
Water:
Little splash of springwater
Colour:
Gold (this whisky is caramelised and chillfiltered)
Body:
Oily - turpentine-like
Nose:
Grass cuttings, nutshells, smoke, oyster shells, fish scales, brine, wet sea sand, old fishing boats, white pepper
Taste:
Peat! Smoke - fish, white pepper and salt, making this dram oddly mouthwatering, like a seafood restaurant at night
Finish;
White pepper forever!
Comments:
My favourite whisky so far, responsible for my conversion to scotch drinking! Delicious and appetising.
O Great Sun Disc
Thou art very great.
Thou art robed in power
and in majesty.
Thou goest down
and it is night.
