In the pub?

For many of those of us who aren't Scottish, Wednesday is Champion's League night :)

I think that''s just the Rangers fans, Les. The Celts should be supporting Liverpool.

I'll be watching out for the Man U scores now simply beacause thats where Sir Alex is.
What he has achieved at Old Trafford is amazing, but what he achieved at Aberdeen was truly remarkable.

1-0 to Liverpool we're through!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still think its a shame that the Carling cup isn't regarded highly enough by top teams to field a side that can beat the oppositions, how can a team let silverware go becuase the Champions league appear to be th 'be all and end all'.

I'm refering to Liverpool performance against Totenham!

Sour grapes if you ask me. We made 6 changes from our first team as well. We want to play Liverpool every week now that we can woop you. They were singing are you Arsenal in disguise at the game. :D

PS. This should be discussed on the football thread really. Keeps it nice and tidy. :)

Here its still Dec 23....a Festivus for the rest of us.

Bute, who are you going to challenge to the Feats of Strength? I think we already had our Airing of Grievances enough the past week.

Festivus: I will summarize wiki since there is a lot not needed.

Festivus is an annual holiday, many people now celebrate the holiday on December 23. In general a non-denominational holiday to be celebrated by those frustrated or jaded with the commercialism and pressure surrounding the Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa season

The tradition of Festivus begins with an aluminum pole. During Festivus, the Festivus Pole is displayed unadorned. The pole was chosen apparently in opposition to the commercialization of highly decorated Christmas trees, because it is very low-maintenance and not flashy.

The holiday includes novel practices such as the "Airing of Grievances" before dinner, in which each person tells everyone else all the ways they have disappointed him or her over the past year. Also, after the Festivus meal, the "Feats of Strength" are performed, involving wrestling the head of the household to the floor, with the holiday ending only if the head of the household is actually pinned.

There are also "Festivus Miracles", which are minor coincidences that are usually inconvenient for one or both of the involved parties, e.g. 2 people that have bad blood see each other on this day.
