We've just confirmed Compass Box will be providing the second master class. Douglas Lain is doing the first.

I've been putting off buying tickets until the masterclasses are on sale as well so please post here or PM when you're taking bookings for the masterclasses.

Are there still tickets available? I'd hate to book a week off work and pay for train fares only to find out they are all sold out

Yes, plenty of tickets left but at the current sales rate it will definitely be a sellout.

Not sure when the masterclass tickets will go on sale but hopefully soon.

So who all is going to the festival? I would love to meet up for a few drams with some of the forum members here, I'll be around Glasgow Thur, Fri and of course sat night so if you want to grab a couple drinks let me know. Also if you have have any suggestions on Bars to go to please let me know. I know a few but if there are any "off the beaten path" ones fill me in.

If you go off the beaten path in Glasgow you surely will increase your chances of getting 'filled in'. ;)

I'll be there btw, but not sure if I can make any of the previous nights.

I'll be in Edinburgh thursday for the Jolly Toper tasting then move to Glasgow for friday and saturday with no solid plans, except a wish to visit a few whisky bars!

Where in Glasgow are you going to be staying Len?

There are some fine bars here, some even sell fine whisky.

I'll be in the Bon Accord in the evening after nipping back to the hotel for something to eat and a quick wash and brush up. I'm the one on the left and I'm not miserable even though I sometimes look it!! If you see me at the show or in the pub come and say hello.

I'm staying at the holiday inn express in the theater district (THEATRELAND 165 WEST NILE STREET ) so fairly close to everything. Right now thur and friday are up in the air with my only plans being to visit Edinburg one of those days. I'm also thinking of visiting Glengoyne before the festival on Sat if anyone wants to come, I have a car so getting there isn't an issue. If the weather is tolerable I might take a trip down to Bladnoch distillery when I arrive on Thur since it's on my list of distilleries I havn't visited yet. Any other recommendations are appreciated, I know the days are short and the weather may not cooperate so there will probably be alot of bar time involved with this trip and that was really the reason for taking it, nothing better than good scotch in Scotland. (oh I may have a couple scottish ales as well)
