Thanks Nick but it really didn''t work out the way I wanted it to, Less than half a second later and moving my stance by a couple of inches would have got the shot. Taking photos at an airshow always comes second to enjoying the action for me and some of the flying was simply breathtaking.

Pete, that's an amazing photo! Must admit that I am partial to a good sunset picture, but that's the best I've seen! Purely out of interest, where was that taken?

Burnham Overy on the North Norfolk coast. Taken from the sea-wall footpath that takes you from the village to the dunes - which is a great place for catching dragons, and a long walk.

Image

It's one of the greatest walks and we always time our return with the sunset as they are fantastic from here. A small group formed and everyone was transfixed on this occasion. Sky on fire.

If only i had an SLR that day, shame because the Mrs compact couldn't get the best of it, so there's no filters used and no zoom tricks to saturate colours - thats how it was.

I agree. Clouds on fire and all that. Nice one.

First marriage, then paragliding...you are utterly fearless. Or are your suicidal impulses very recent?

(By the way, Nick, I passed by Shilbottle a couple of weeks ago. No fewer than eight signs pointing to the village, not one defaced!)
