Where would you get a used cask in Scotland ?

I remember seeing half casks sold as garden pots, but where would you go about to find a worn cask ?

Glengoyne sell them outside the warehouses across the road from the distillery. There's a cooperage in the east end of Glasgow called Fishers that would no doubt sell them to you too. I expect there would be other places.

I'm not sure about the UK but I know a place in Kentucky to get Bourbon barrels they are arounf $90.00 each and it cost me $95.00 to ship 2 of them to Ohio.

about 30-40 gbp Not sure if any particular distillery is more likely to sell on more than any other. Might be worth just contacting your favourite and offering to relieve them of some worn out stock

I occasionally see some at garden shops around here for about $75 (actual whole ones). They're Canadian. I would expect bourbon barrels to be expensive, since there's no such thing as a worn-out one--they can only be used once, and I should think the Scots would take all they can.
