Most beers like wine and unlike whisky have their designated glasses.

I like the wheat beer glasses because when I grip the glass from the skinny part I feel like a holy person drinking it.



I also like the tulip type glasses like many serve Duvel in.

Nah, but the way he holds it and where the lip is, thats what I feel like when I drink out of a weissbier glass.

Anyway, to bump this...those that enjoy beers...how many different beer glasses do you use for the different styles of beer?

i use the brewdog glass for small bottles and the hardrock amsterdam glass for big bottles...
i've never really noticed any difference in taste using different glasses. that goes for beer, wine and whisky...

I bought myself this set today as an early xmas gift.. Not only is it a really fun glass to use and look at, its also a fantastic beer, in my top 3 fave beers.

I have two of these, the inside of the glass has a rifled effect which may help bubbles, but that is just a theory I came up with when I had too many

Have this very same gathering some serious dust on my desk...except mine has a design on it declaring it to be a "Limited Millennium Edition" [1791-2000]. You suppose it's collectible? I can't for the life of me remember how I happened to acquire it.

That lemon squeezer looks like a Martian tripod from War Of The Worlds.

There's a pub in Cambridge that has a huge range of Belgian beers and also has these for serving them. I tried on my stag night. Needless to say, it was not a success

once i 'like' a beer this means i will buy it more often...then i will definately buy the proper glass to go with it.
somehow it seems to work best like that (for me that is) - so duvel belongs in a duvel glass-

Today i bought a La Trappe box with four bottles and a glass, La Trappe Blond - 6.5abv, La Trappe Dubbel - 7.0abv,
La Trappe Tripel - 8.0abv, La Trappe Quadrupel - 10.0abv.

Yet to try the La Trappe but have just consumed 2 pints of Hepworths Noel ale 7.5% out of the above glass and it done a grand job.

I've started using the large red wine glasses we have at home for beer. I've heard good things about the Dogfish Head glasses and might look into shipping a couple of those across the pond.

In Switzerland, regular beer glasses look like that. It's called a Stange and it's about a half pint (depends on where you are between 2.5 cl and 3.3 cl). Fair enough. Then there's the big one at a half litre (not quite a pint).

This looks much too easy to knock over...I suppose you could just not put it down, but your hand would warm up that narrow cylinder of beer pretty quickly. Never understood why you'd use a glass like this for a style of beer you really want to keep cold.
