That's good news!
If I had all the money I've spent on whisky, I'd spend it on whisky.

All the time i hear people claim ( in reference to a pub ), "i don't go there, they don't do Stella". "For good reason" i reply, well that's my reply when i'm keeping it polite.
I've spent a lot of money on whisky and women, the rest i squandered

Stella (and other similar concoctions) gives me the absolute worst hangovers. I've probably not drank it in over 5 years or so, but sometimes it is hard to avoid.

They had to shut M74 for 4 hours to clean up the spill.
A shout for some local volunteers would have drunk it in less time and took the cans for some extra recycling cash in less time. :D

if you find a bar that has clean taps and a high beerflow, and it is properly served then stella isn't the worst pilsener around...there are worse believe me...of course no canned stella that is absolutely yuk. :(

Of course, the stuff most folk drink in the UK is brewed under license on British soil, with British water.

But what about real Belgian Stella - assuming there is such a thing? I can recall seeing imported stuff (it used to have a white paper wrapper over the neck and cap) but I'm not convinced it's much better (or different in style) to the gassy piss that the majority of Brits seem to know and love.

Stella Artois was marketed in the UK as being reassuringy expensive. In Belgium, it's the cheap fizz that nobody wants to be seen drinking in public.
