Spirit of Speyside 2011

Postby dstirk » 26 Apr 2011, 17:35

I'm heading off on Friday and look forward to seeing all and everyone attending. Catch me at the Whisky Fair (Saturday and Sunday) and also my tasting on Monday (tickets still available: http://www.whiskyshopdufftown.co.uk/2nd ... -2211.html).

For anyone interested, I'll be selling some of my limited edition (1 of 1) decanters at the fair for discounted prices.

Hope to see some of you there!?

Thanks to my Father in law winning a competition I will be at SoS this weekend. We are travelling up Friday morning and coming back Sunday. Not sure what the itinerary is yet, we apparently have some events as part of the competition but will not find out exactly what is involved till later this week (a bit late I think).
...in my opinion

I think the best you can hope for is the festival vatted malt. Hopefully see some of you there- I'll be manning the Cadenheads/Springbank stall at the Dufftown fair so say hello- although I'll have to 'nip' off on the Saturday for our tasting.

Which is not the best whisky I've ever had.

I just tasted the mini that I brought home, and I have to say I'm mildly disappointed because I find it rather bitter on the palate. Tasting notes:

I have also finished the reports about my SoS adventures, BTW
