Hi folks, just to say that I won this!!! :D :D 8-)

Not the 1965 top prize tho (worth £1250 at TWE!!) but the 1989 vintage runner-up prize. A really lovely xmas surprise tho and I'm well chuffed but now thinking about the 1965 I could have won :| . Just goes to show that someone has to win and I did thanks to this very thread on this very forum.

Just delivered after I came home after work, a nice parcel from InverHouse and I thought hang-on I've not ordered anything recently. Mrs Leither says 'she has never seen me so excited'

I've been reading this nice forum for a while now but today i've all the reason for my first post on this forum!

I'm the very lucky winner of the Balblair 1965! :o  :D  Still can't believe it...

Today FedEx delivered the parcel and my girlfriend called me at work to ask if i ordered a whisky from Inverhouse Distillers. I didn't ordered anything so i was becoming excited, when she opened the parcel and said it was a Balblair 1965 i really was stunned!

Thanks to this very thread indeed, as Leither says!

Regards,
Scott

Wow! Two of you, that's superb!

Firstly, welcome Scott. Glad you finally joined us and what a lucky sod you are. If you open it at any point then I expect a tasting note at your earliest convenience ;)

Paul, nice one. I just got myself a Christmas prezzie of a Lag 12, but I had to pay for it!

Well done both of you!

Long may it continue...

I once won an argument in 1996. Or was it 1997?

I never win owt

Actually, I tell a lie... I won a PC game about 15 years ago. The top prize was a PC, which is pretty much why I entered the competition because I didn't have one and they cost a lot back then. But no, I won a game for a PC that I didn't have.
