The book on Glenfarclas arrived today and last week the Cutty Sark book arrived but I have not yet had the opportunity to go through it.

I enjoyed the 5th edition (1957) of what is now the SWA Questions and Answers'. I believe I'm getting the Cutty Sark book for the upcoming religous/commodity festival. Tell me more about the Glenfarclas book....Have yet to get the Ardmore book by Iain MacIlwain.

I've just had a quick glance and it seems to follow the theme of other commissioned books that have come out lately. Lots of good pictures and it covers the history of the distillerya dn the family so all in all a very nice book with some good detail ( as far as I can tell so far).

Book gifts that I received for Christmas included '99 Drams of Whiskey' from my dad and his wife (along with Redbreast 12) and 'The World Atlas of Whisky' from my mom who knew I had been wanting to pick this up for months.
The wishlist is always growing...

Ooh you swine Lawrence, I've been chasing that book for ages- where did you get it?????

I've just finished Cutty Sark - The Making of a Whisky Brand edited by Ian Buxton with each chapter written by a different author. some chapters were stronger than others, I particularly liked the chapter about the history of the ship- an Airfix model was my pride, and the one about the artist James McBey who did the original artwork.

I'm currently trying Le Snob Whisky by John Lamond, I suspect I'm suffering fatigue from this type of format.
