I enjoyed Colombiana, even though it's just a sloppy b-movie, i was just in that mood. I quite enjoy films about badly-bruised beauties with a big gun. :D

I enjoyed Drive recently. Best movie i've watched in some time, despite a slightly flakey ending. I'm hoping they make another and successfully reproduce it's atmosphere.

Agreed on Drive, saw it in the cinema when it came out and was blown away. Also, the soundtrack is absolutely terrific if you like that sort of thing (which I do).

If you like Drive you should check out Refn's first (or maybe it was his breakthrough) movie called "Pusher". It could be hard to find as it is in danish. It was also Mads Mikkelsens breakthrough movie and I still thonk one of Mikkelsens best
. But he is aleays good

IMO was ok. Started slow, picked up in the middle and just turned into slop for the last third. Not sure how a driver could take out so many trained killers especially a skinny shit like Ryan Gosling. Mrs did like the soundtrack though and downloaded a few songs(she liked the film more than I did). Film reminded me of an attempt to replicate a Sofia Coppola film vibe(and soundtrack).

I'm usually grossly behind the times with movies, I refuse to go to the cinema and I don't usually buy DVD's when the first come out, so quite often when Ive first seen a movie everyone else has long forgotten it

Saw contagion the other week - Pretty good, well worth seeing and its one of those flicks that makes you wonder "could it really be like that?"

I'm a West Wing tragic too , not a movie but as good as :)

Not a film but a series: Game of Thrones... good stuff. I have noted that they use Scottish accents for the Northerners... Then I saw Snow White and the Huntsman recently. There they use Scottish accents for... the Dwarves :x

Drive - If you like violence and a bit of car racing.
Men in Black3 - I am a not a big fan of this series movie but I went with my sons.
Promethus - I like the computer graphics and special effecs. The story... nah.
Avengers - Will see this today. I was told its good.
We have been watching tv series at home from Netflix. Recent ones that we enjoyed are: Elizabeth Vigin Queen, now watching Elizabeth R, Lilyhammer, The Tudors, Burn Notice. I liked all of them.

Ice Age 4

Wasn't about the perils of addition of the solid state of water to very young whisky, sadly. But my 6 yr old son liked it so much, he pushed a front tooth out in excitement. Thankfully, there appears to be another coming along behind it. And another tooth too...

recently watched Hodejegerne (headhunters), well worth a watch. cool film with some dark humour as well.

also got around to watching the avenger and was pleasantly suprised.. i've not enjoyed too many of these recent superhero movies but the avengers was really entertaining..

oh, saw battleship as well. i know i should hate it but it was just so much fun to watch. didn't seem to take itself too seriously and the cgi was fantastic.

I watched The Hunger Games a couple of weeks ago at home...I thought it was rather well done with the '1984'-like vibe to the picture. Also a scathing critique of reality TV shows, and (moreso) the culture created by and around them.

I saw a flick called "Savages" this weekend. This is the worst movie I've seen in 2012, maybe even this millenium. Avoid!

Me & Mrs F went to see Samsara this weekend - really enjoyed it. It's non-narrative with lots of beautiful (and some scary) images. I tried to embed the trailer but failed utterly, so here's a link, apologies:
