King Creosote & Jon Hopkins - Diamond Mine.

Stark but beautiful!
I feel no pain dear mother now
But oh, I am so dry!
O take me to the distillery
And leave me there to die.

Listened to the Cure last night - preparing for festival season!
I feel no pain dear mother now
But oh, I am so dry!
O take me to the distillery
And leave me there to die.

Prompted by a cracking cover of the Leonard Cohen song Tower of Song by Tom Jones on Jools Holland, I've listened to a few other covers that I have enjoyed over the years. One of the few songs where I prefer the covers to the original, perhaps due to the fact that when Cohen released it I felt that he had somehow sold out. Ah the arrogance of youth, well a self opinionated 24 year old at least.
