 No worries...I've made the same comment in the same thread on occasion.

On the Waterfront has Jameson and Paddy in it, as I've just read on the Irish Whiskey Society forum.

Didn't notice this in the thread yet, but in Ironman, Robert Downey Jr has a drink in his had for much of the first 30 minutes of the film. After he demonstrates the "Jericho" missile to the U.S forces, a drinks table pops up. JW blue lable was the only bottle I could identify for sure, but at least 5-10 other bottles were there as well.
I wonder why the blue lable was the most visible ;)

Last night the premier of "Person to Person" on CBS - they visited George Clooney at home - saw one of his many bars....he had the normal JD, Knob Creek, Lagavulin, etc. & a special Maker's Mark bottle w/his face on it.. He said he is a vodka & tequila drinker. He grew up in KY....

Inspector Montalbano and his pal quaffed a bottle and a half of Ballantine's on BBC4 tonight. He looked a bit hung over the next day. Needs to learn to drink malts.

Mad Men came back tonight after a 19 month layoff. A party scene at Don Draper's apartment had Jameson's being poured, with some version of Canadian Club being visible on the same table. There were other bottles on the table that may have been whisky, but the shot was less than two seconds and I don't have a PVR.

Cary Grant is quite the bourbon fan (willingly and otherwise) in North by Northwest. At one point (I don't remember which specific scene) a bottle of what appears to be Four Roses (with a label that shows a larger sized group of four roses compared to current labelling) is being poured. Shortly after being kidnapped, Grant is forced to drink what is implied to be an entire bottle of bourbon by Martin Landau and his henchman. I could not tell what bourbon it was (if the labelling even reflected an actual bottling).

This is an oldie, but in John Carpenter's The Thing, I believe Kurt Russel is drinking J&B. It's the 80' though, and helicopter pilots in the Antarctic can be choosers!

On a related note, there is a fake brand of J&B used as a weapon in Memento.

Denzel Washington's drinking problem in "Courage Under Fire" is largely fuelled by mini bottles of JW Red (and possibly Black as well).

Keanu Reeves in the role of Constantine (in the film 'Constantine') knocks back a large pour of Ardbeg (10yo I think). Caught a bit of this film on the TV a few nights ago, just when this 'Ardbeg' scene was happening. .... Apologies if someone has already mentioned this before.

I don't think Constantine was having a particularly good day when he reached out for his bottle, and it didn't improve thereafter. He didn't look as though he enjoyed the Ardbeg .... it was probably apple juice or some such thing in the glass though for the purposes of filming.
