A SMWS Rosebank 25.62 'Classy and attractive' 20yo 54% ABV, thought the title just about sums me up and the age is spot on too

.I'm at the point where I wouldnt by another GM Mortlach 15 cos the last two are badly sulphured. Doesnt mean GM Mortlach 15 is rubbish just not worth risking again. I'll be very careful indeed before picking up another Mortlach.

Arghh! I thought I had warned the entire world about this whisky - I warned ye, did I not warn ye??!!

I'm sure I tried to warn people too. I figured surely it was just a bad batch first time out but alas i was wrong. The current one is bad but better than the previous. My next mortlach may well be the FF 16 which seemingly is decent casks but please please tell me if anyone knows otherwise

Yes ,hey not a criticism,just an observation. I just cant handle having a bottle in the house and not knowing what it tastes like. I'm impressed that peoplehave the self control to set them aside

2 or 3 auctions, some i obviously care more about winning than others like the glenlossie and mosstowie than the dewars but even then an old blend is pretty nice, however it is odd how they smell of "old"

Not a purchase, but I was given a 3/4 bottle of Bowmore 12 from a new-found whisky friend who was off-put by a vegetal note in the finish. I've only had one glass of this bottling in the past so, in the interest of finding a good home for the partial bottle and in pursuit of experimentation (both on its own, and compared to my Tempest Batch 2 bottle), I was grateful to be the recipient of the donation. Samples of Glengoyne 10 and Glenfarclas 15 went the other way in appreciation of the gesture.

He also surprised me with a sample of Glen Breton 17 Ice (something that I have been wanting to try before deciding whether to commit to a 250 mL mini-bottle @ Can$45). I will do a side by side with the last dram of the GB 10 at some point. Thank you!!
