Bill Mackintosh is a journalist who has had 40 years experience in newspapers and broadcasting across Scotland. He was latterly Head of News and Online Content at the Sunday Herald and helped write the tasting notes for the Herald's award-winning whisky supplements. He is Chairman of Glasgow's Whisky Club and a passionate advocate of Scotch whisky particularly single malt.

Bill has written for a variety of outlets on whisky and whisky matters. He likes his dram in a glass, but has been known to pour it over porridge or mix it with mussels. When he has a cold, he takes a hot toddy last thing at night. When he doesn't have a cold, he starts earlier.
